LOMANCO Ventilation Turbines

The possibilities of usage of Lomanco ventilation turbines:

  • Ventilation of the roof-coat
  • Ventilation of interiors - garret expanses, utilitarian halls, rooms
  • Ventilation of block of flats - replacement of central electric ventilators

Why ventilate with Lomanco ?

Enemies are HEAT and MOISTURE - Evident in all geographical areas Year round

  • Heat

Unventilated attics often are 50-60 degrees Celsius. ----> Damages shingles, roof sheathing and radiates into living area.

  • Moisture

Moisture is the Nr.1 enemy. ----> Causes rot, mildew, mold, paint blisters, ineffective insulation.

  • Mold Facts

Attics, crawl spaces, and basements are prime sources for excess moisture.

Spores need a food source, heat, and moisture to begin colonizing.

Usually improper intake is the culprit in moisture related problems in attics.

Extreme caution should be exercised if an odor or colony is detected.

LOMANCO coloured turbines brown, black and white = harmonized roof Lomanco

All turbines available with coloured base and adjustable throat for pitched roofs.

Ventilated roof by LOMANCO air circulation

The blast of difference between the indoor and outdoor temperature, which effects the roofs during summer but mainly during the winter, must be handled good designed and then good realized roof. The design of composition and construction of the roof is from technical point of view affected e.g. by the bevel of the roof, by termoisolation and hydroisolation properties of the layers and of the whole construction. Especially important are the release of heat and steam, the order of layers in construction, and particularly the temperature and partial pressure of the heat and steam in the environment; and the effectiveness of roof ventilations.

The basic function of ventilating airspace between the termoisolation and safety foil is to lead the moisture off from the fibre of roof coat. The fluctuating air takes with the moisture held in termoisolation and leads it off out of the roof construction.

By latterly we have been using only passive ways of ventilation - ridge ventilating girdles, ventilating tiles, little shafts etc. Lomanco manufactures the program of active ventilation by the means of ventilation turbine. One Lomanco ventilation turbine can replace several passive ventilating components of the roof coat. Ventilation by the means of ventilation turbine Lomanco ensures by its active motion even wash down of the roof coat, which reduces the temperature of the coat during the summer and prevents the damage by agglomeration, bulge, pluck down etc. During the winter the fluent air wash down of roof coat ensures its even temperature and prevents the coat from creation of ice dams what means uneven extreme loading of the roof by ice and snow. During both seasons it assures fluent moisture exhaust from the roof coat and this way it prevents the creation of putrescence and mildew, which shorten the persistence of the roof.

Above mentioned performance values were measured in the up-to-date aerodynamic tunnel at LOMANCO under the circumstances simulating real utilization. Tests were performanced according to the latest science knowledge. Independent Ryan Engineering (Arcansas)  checked the methodology. Lomanco has been permanently checking their efficiency and compare it with the competition turbines. And that is the reason why they keep their strong position in the world.
